With House of the Dragon, there’s finally a new series to fill the Game of Thrones void and it has more dragons than ever before!

While that’s not surprising, since House of the Dragon is literally about the Targaryen dynasty, and the Targaryens rode dragons, this GoT prequel has got viewers raving – and for good reason.

House of the Dragon is set roughly 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, when the Targaryens ruled Westeros at the height of their powers and nearly all of them had their own dragons. Just like Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon is also full of highly quotable lines from a new cast of memorable characters.

We’ve rounded up all the best house of the dragon sayings here today, so you can look back at the funniest, wisest and often rudest things different characters have said. Of course, be warned that there are spoilers ahead if you aren’t caught up on all the episodes and some of the characters do speak quite, er, colorfully.

Naejot! (That’s High Valyrian for forward)

Queen Aemma: This is the last time, Viserys. I’ve lost one babe in the cradle, had two stillbirths, and two pregnancies ended well before their term. That’s five in twice as many years. The faces most dear to me in all the world, yet grown so distant from each other in the years past. My own face is no longer a handsome one if indeed it ever was. But tonight, I wish you to see me as I am. Not just a king, but your father. Your brother. Your husband, and your grandsire. Who may not, it seems, walk for much longer among you.
