1. The ‘Harry Potter Fashion’ Sound
Known as: the song people use to showcase Hogwarts House outfit ideas
This audio originally uploaded to TikTok by @amer.editsz is a viral smash hit that is used by TikTok users to showcase outfits they would wear that match the aesthetic of Hogwart’s four houses.
What exactly is this sound composed of?
Of course, it starts with McGonagall’s iconic lines saying “Before you can take your things, you must be sorted into your houses – they are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin” is from the first Harry Potter movie, but the catchy beat in the background comes from GDFR by Flo Rida (which you can listen to here).
Examples of this Harry Potter TikTok song in action:
- This TikTok using the sound to showcase different Hogwarts House aesthetics
- This TikTok with more Harry Potter house aesthetics
- This epic rhythmic gymnastic twist on the Hogwarts house aesthetic trend
Fun fact: The Sorting Hat never actually says “RAVENCLAW!!” in the movies, so you might notice that the Ravenclaw in this track sounds a bit different than the other houses. See if you can notice it!
2. Ride by Lana del Rey x My Blood by Ellie Goulding
Known as: the song people use for the “This is what it would be like to date” videos + emotional Harry Potter POVs
This audio created by TikTok user @gisellevue has gone super viral within the PotterTok community, with over 11.5k videos using it and counting.
If you need some help jogging your memory, this is the song on TikTok that is often used to accompany “this is what it would be like to date [insert Harry Potter character]” TikTok videos.
It’s also used for some moving POVs and honestly, it’s perfect for just any kind of Harry Potter TikTok content thanks to its magical, nostalgic, happy/sad vibe.

3. The “Did someone say Draco MALFOY?!” TikTok Sound
Known as: One of the main DracoTok sounds
If you’ve spent any amount of time on DracoTok, you’ll have encountered this iconic DracoTok sound, with over 26k videos… but where did the “Did someone say Draco Malfoy?” quote actually come from?
You’re not crazy for thinking it was never in the movies because it wasn’t! This audio is actually sampled from A Very Potter musical, an awesome musical parody of the Harry Potter movies which is honestly a must-watch if you’ve never seen it… and it’s available in its entirety on YouTube for free!
Here’s a clip from when the actress playing Draco says “Did someone say Draco Malfoy?”
The song that completes the audio is this slow version of 3 muskateers by ppcocaine. You can listen to the original version here.

4. “Pottah Pottah is it true you fainted?” Sound
Known as: that sound everybody in DracoTok loves to lip sync to so people can guess what Hogwarts house they should be in
This DracoTok sound is one of the most popular by far, and is often used in the context of “People say can tell what house you’re in based on how you would say these lines” TikToks.
The main component of this sound is of course the iconic “Pottah, Pottah” Draco Malfoy quote from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, but what about that cool beat in the background?
Turns out the (now instantly recognizable) build up to this sound comes from another TikTok-savvy fandom: Hamilton!
Yup, the instrumental build up you hear in the background of this song before the “Pottah Pottah” bit is the beat from Hamilton’s “My Shot”, which you can listen to here.
Examples of this Harry Potter TikTok song in action:
- This TikTok from the platform’s favorite Tom Felton lookalike
5. “Hogwarts is my Home” Sound #1
Known as: the “home” Hogwarts song
Ahh – this song gives us goosebumps every time!
This sound samples the chorus from Home by Machine Gun Kelly & X Ambassadors & Bebe Rexha. While the chorus is definitely our favorite part of the song by miles, you can listen to the full thing on YouTube here.
The lyrics in this TikTok audio start with Harry Potter going “I can’t… Hogwarts is my….” with the chorus of Home then hitting perfectly with “home, a place where I can go, to take this off my shoulders, someone take me home”.
While there’s no one trend that’s associated with this TikTok sound, it’s most commonly used for nostalgic, aesthetic, homesick sort of Harry Potter TikToks that show off the dreaminess/feels of loving Hogwarts THAT much.
Examples of this Harry Potter TikTok song in action:
- This TikTok that will make you instantly want to apparate to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter
6. “Hogwarts is my Home” Sound #2
Known as: That “I’ve come ho-oooo-ooo-ooooo-ooo-oooome” song
This TikTok sound starts with the iconic JK Rowling quote “The stories we love best do live in us forever. So whether you come back by page or by the big screen, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home” and then goes into the chorus of a gorgeously moving song.
What is the song being used in this PotterTok sound? It’s none other than Welcome Home by Radical Face (full version here).
PS: If you’re wondering where that actual JK Rowling speech audio comes from, you can watch the full thing here. It’s from a speech JK gave at the Deathly Hallows Part 2 premiere in London.

7. O Children by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
Known as: The Harry and Hermione dancing song from Deathly Hallows
This sound is used for all kinds of TikTok content so there’s no one particular trend linked to it, but most of the videos using it have some kind of homesick for Hogwarts vibe, or just flex awesome Harry Potter things whether it’s a fun movie marathon, new merch, or even a ride on the Hogwarts Express in real life!
Examples of this Harry Potter TikTok song in action:

8. Arcade (known on TikTok for the lyrics ‘Loving You is a Losing Game’)
Known as: That “Loving you is a losing game” TikTok song
This ultra goosebump-inducing TikTok sound is the one that goes “OHHhhhHhH, ohHHhhhh all I know, all I kno-oh-owwww, loving you is a losing game”.
This is used in a TON of sad vibe Harry Potter TikTok videos, usually with the theme of heartbreak or Draco being broody and misunderstood.
The original song can be found here, but the one featured in TikToks seems to be a slowed down version. This one and this one sound similar.
Fun fact: This song was actually the winner of Eurovision 2019.
Example of this Harry Potter TikTok song in action:
- This TikTok ft. an epic Draco deleted scene that fans everywhere are pissed got deleted
9. Spirits by the Strumbellas
Known as: the song used for “then and now” TikTok videos
This remix is used for a lot of “Then and Now” TikTok videos where they showcase actors from a certain year and how they look now.
The entire song is of course Spirits by the Strumbellas (listen to the full thing here).
At first, we thought maybe the sound used a mix of the original version and an acoustic version, but actually the more muted “spirits in my head and they won’t go” line comes from the beginning of the song, whereas the louder “I’ve got guns in my head and they won’t go” line is from later parts of the song.
Example of this Harry Potter TikTok song in action:
- This TikTok using Spirits to show the HP cast in 2001 vs 2020
10. Daisy (I’m Crazy But You Like That)
Known as: That song often used in ~ saucy ~ DracoTok videos

11. The “Draco Malfoy” Sound
Known as: That song used in saucy/funny/sassy DracoTok POVs
Are you sick of popular DracoTok songs yet? We’re just getting started.
This sound is a super popular one for POVs involving Draco, and the song in question is Love & War by Yellow Claw ft. Yade Lauren. The full version is here.
This is the version being used on TikTok though – it’s a slowed down remix.

This sound is definitely one of those sounds that make you think of DracoTok as soon as you hear it, especially if you’ve been spending a lot of time flicking through fun Draco POVs.
Well, the song in question is “Put Your Records on” by Corinne Bailey Rae (listen here), but the version going viral on TikTok is actually this one by Ritt Momney.
Example of this Harry Potter TikTok song in action:
- This flirty DracoTok POV
13. The Supa Freak TikTok Sound
Known as: That song used in ‘saucy’ Hogwarts POVs and edits
This sound needs zero explanation.
It’s mainly used in (what I would call) the Dark side of DracoTok, with some… non PG themes. All the better (or all the worse?) when it’s used for videos involving Snape, Lucius Malfoy or any other members of the Wizarding World’s finest.
You’ve been warned!
While this song is super famous (the original is here), the one used in all the DracoTok POVs is a slowed down version that you can listen to here.
Examples of this Harry Potter TikTok song in action:
14. The “really witty” TikTok sound
Known as: That “hoo hoo hoo hoo” DracoTok song
Another Draco Malfoy quote made immortal by TikTok is the one where he says “Oh yeah, terribly funny. Really witty. God this place has gone to the dogs. Wait until my father hears that Dumbledore’s got this oaf teaching classes.”
There are of course a lot of variations of this sound incorporating that quote, but the most popular one uses “L*** Is A Bad Word by” Kiiara (which you can listen to here)
Examples of this Harry Potter TikTok song in action:
- The original one using L*** is a Bad Word
- This TikTok ft. an iconic Draco real life location
15. The “I’m latching onto you” DracoTok sound
Known as: That DracoTok POV song
Ahh yes, another DracoTok POV classic. We told you there were loads!
This sound is a staple of DracoTok, especially where broody POVs are concerned.
The original song is of course the mega-hit “Latch” by Disclosure ft. Sam Smith, but the one that has popped up on TikTok lately isn’t actually the original!
The remix that seems to be used in most DracoTok videos though is this “sad” remix here by Hailey Amanda. The part you’re likely looking for starts at 51 seconds!
Example of this Harry Potter TikTok song in action:
16. The “Are You With Me” DracoTok sound
Known as: That angsty DracoTok POV song
If you’re looking for the TikTok song that goes “are you wiiiiiiith me…. are you wiiiiiith me?” that’s used in this popular sound, the answer is simple: the song is called “Are You With Me” and it’s by Nilu.
You can listen to the full thing here.
That said, the one that has gone viral on DracoTok lately is slower, and appears to be this remix. The part you’re looking for starts at 3:26!
This audio is really popular across TikTok but seems to be most commonly used for DracoTok POVs involving some kind of heartbreak like a misunderstanding, Y/N breaking up with Draco, etc. Usually they end on a happier note though!
